    I took a taxi in New Jersey once and it was a 20 minute ride for $15. I thought that was kinda expensive.

    On average now it is between 2 & 3 dollars just to get in the taxi! Then it ranges in actual amount but you pay by quarter mile usually.

    Go to http://www.taxifarefinder.com/ I think you will get everything you need. I don’t think there is a site for NJ, but choose another city and type in your addresses.

    it depends on the city and county
    some taxies have metter rate some taxis go by zones
    other have a flat rate
    other charge by the mile
