It is the time table for trains from Gatwick to London.

The cost of a taxi? Try

at least it will give you a guide.

I would suggest that you wait for the train. If you are tired when you land then a taxi may be better. But do not order and pay in advance. If they do not turn up, you have still got the train.

A taxi would cost about £65 It’s about 30 miles and in the small hours of the morning when traffic is light it should take around 45 minutes, but I doubt you will find one at the time of day you have in mind. No problem though as the trains run 24/7. The train station is directly below the South Terminal and much cheaper. You can also save cash by using the regular trains and avoiding the Gatwick Express service. The difference in travel time is less than 10 minutes.

Between the hours of 00:30 and 04:30there is only one train at 03:30. Other than that the Gatwick Express run every 15 minutes for 20 hours a day.
Also at night the First Capital connect runs in the middle of the night at regular hours. GATWICK AIRPORT Train leaves for LONDON VICTORIA at 01:05 operated by SOUTHERN

A taxi from Gatwick is prohibitive.
