@woodencoasterfan I went on Big Thunder Mountain when I went to Disneyland many years ago & loved it. I got dragged onto Space Mountain & almost got sick! (And I’m not known for getting motion sickness!) I wasn’t good for much of anything for quite a while afterwards & we had to hang out in an arcade until it passed. Space Mountain is MUCH more intense than Big Thunder.

@Jdevs99 Same here, but Walt said his parks would be constantly changing. I’m just glad they didn’t try the Rocket Rods like they did at Disneyland. They lost a piece of their history when the ripped out their WED Way People Mover.

I seriously love the music that plays in Space Mountain from 3:30 on….. and also “Now approaching Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress” Wish they never changed the audio…

I am going to go on this ride at LEAST two times the next time I go. One time just looking straight ahead the whole time and the second time looking on whatever sides I want to! Lol! :) I’m dreaming of going back everyday! Love Disney more than anything! :(

@lilly98ish Well that’s good to hear. I would suggest if you want to ride Space Mountain that you first ride Big Thunder Mountain. If you like Big Thunder, then you’ll like Space Mountain. The rides that tend to get the longest lines are usually Splash Mountain, Space Mountain, and Big Thunder Mountain so those are the ones you’ll want to ride first. Big Thunder and Splash Mountains are right next to each other in Frontierland and Space Mountain is on the other side of the park in Tomorrowland.

ok you might call me wierd but this is my all time favorite ride in the world. my little sister has autism and we went to disney two years ago I loved it but my little sis was miserble, she had melt downs practicly the whole trip and i remember the only time she was truly happy was on this ride when she saw that girl getting her hair done at micky star thingy and started to laugh..it was or last ride of the day but she was in a great mode the rest of the day :) i just hope ill be back soon :)

One of my favorites! Relaxing but also because it has a keyfunction in the history of Walts idea for Florida. EPCOT (Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow) was the original plan and the WED Way was the key-transportsystem. Unfortunately he died before he could even try transforming his vision into reality. After he past away the Walt Disney Company decided that it did not want to be in the business of running a city. :( So you could ask yourself if WDW is what Walt would have wanted?!

@TheCrazymonkey0421 The ride never stops it just seems like it does. What you see as being black in the video is actually the Soace Mountain roller coaster. You actually can see it in person, it’s just too dark for the camera.

I think Walt should’ve stuck with the original plan for EPCOT. I mean, it would’ve made a bit more sense that a half future city, half around-the-world thing.
