i didn’t know there was a international part at Coolangatta
but i suppose they will be a little bit faster (customs/immigration)than at a large airport
go for the 10.35 flight not that long to wait(get to stretch your legs with a little walk) & better safe than sorry if you miss the first flight

Coolangatta Airport isn’t a huge Airport, so it shouldn’t be too much of an issue. The only thing you need to worry about is how long it may take to get through Customs. I wouldn’t think it will be an issue to catch the 0905 flight.

Coolangatta is only a small airport but it hasn’t been taking international flights for very long so I haven’t heard how efficient they are with customs processing. Better take the later flight to be on the safe side: it’s not going to be too long a wait in any case and it’s better than being in a rush

Here’s a map of the terminal. It shows that International Arrivals are reasonably close to the domestic departure lounges and check in counters.

It is better to take the 10.35 am flight to Sydney. You may have to first clear immigration on arrival and also collect you baggage. Then after you can re check in for your domestic flight to Sydney. It will take some time so its better to be on the safe side than missing the 9.05 am flight. Yes the International and domestic terminals are near.
